WSJ hires Felton to cover the automotive industry

The Wall Street Journal has hired Ryan Felton to cover the automotive industry.

He has been an investigative reporter on the Special Projects team at Consumer Reports, where he has written about bottled water, electric scooters and safety recalls in Uber and Lyft vehicles.

Felton was previously on the automotive industry website Jalopnik, where he was a transportation and technology reporter. His authorship and reporting have appeared in The Guardian, The Awl, FiveThirtyEight, Pacific Standard, The Trace and Al Jazeera America.

Felton is a graduate of Wayne State University.
