(Video) Sheriff confirms Gunna has not been remanded in custody, but arrangements are being made (update)

After news broke Young Thug and Gunna was among 26 other people charged with street gang activity, Gunna was noticeably missing.

When the District Attorney of Fulton County, Atlanta Police and the Fulton County Sheriff held a press conference Tuesday approx. Young ThugAt the time of the arrest, the sheriff confirmed that Gunna had not been remanded in custody.

While talking to reporters, authorities said Gunna had not been arrested but his representatives were in contact with the sheriff.

“He is not in custody.”

After being asked if arrangements had been made for him to surrender or if he was considered a refugee, the sheriff replied:

We agree as much as he got representatives to call me directly last night. We rummage through that piece and let you know.

As previously reported, District Attorney Fani Willis discussed using social media to secure charges against 28 members of the YSL gang.

I knew that question was coming. I believe in the first amendment. It is one of our precious rights. However, the first amendment does not protect people from the fact that prosecutors use it as evidence, if that is the case.

She also approached YFN Lucci and Young Thug, who were being held in the same prison.

I do not want to step outside my lane. I’m the District Attorney in Fulton County; I’m not the sheriff. I have great confidence in the sheriff. He knew this was coming as a law enforcement partner.

As previously reported, Gunna faces one charge of “conspiracy to infringe (RICO).”
