Ukraine says it sank two Russian naval boats as new explosions hit Russian border town

KHARKIV, Ukraine – Ukraine said on Monday that it had sunk two Russian naval vessels in the Black Sea with drone strikes as explosions resounded in Russia’s border region of Belgorod and heavy fighting continued in eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine released video footage of what it said were Bayraktar TB-2-armed drones hitting the two Raptor-class patrol boats Monday at 4.51 a.m. near Snake Island, a Ukrainian island captured by Russian forces on the first day of the war on February 24. Both boats appeared to have been hit, but it was not clear if they had sunk.
