Two British volunteers helping to provide humanitarian aid in Ukraine have been captured by the Russian military.

The non-profit Presidium Network named the two men as Paul Urey, 45, and Dylan Healy, 22.

The couple were working to evacuate a woman and two children from the Zaporizhzhia region when they were stopped at a military checkpoint on Monday and charged with being British spies.

Presidium Network said they last had contact with Urey at. Since then, a person claiming to be the volunteer has failed to provide personal information when sending messages to the organization.

“These messages were not written in their natural style and did not issue security passwords,” the organization said.
