Turkish Airlines and Brazilian low-cost carrier Gol have signed a codeshare and frequent-flyer partnership agreement, the companies announced on Monday.
Passengers on Turkish Airlines flights from Africa, Asia and the Middle East can buy through the company’s sales channel connecting flights from Gol to its Brazilian destinations as well as to Asuncion, Lima, Montevideo and Santiago, according to Turkish Airlines, which currently operates seven daily flights to São Paulo.
In addition, members of the airlines ‘loyalty programs – Turkish Airlines’ Miles & Smiles and Gols Smiles – will be able to redeem and earn miles for flights with both airlines. Redemption begins first, followed by earning benefits at a later date.
The terms of the agreement will enter into force once they have been approved by the Brazilian authorities.
