Report: Grand jury in Trump inquiry to dissolve
Among the many legal investigations into Donald Trump and his affairs, the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation into fraud allegations is among the more problematic, with current official Alvin Bragg apparently unconvinced of the strength of the case despite years of work.
Now reports say the grand jury set up to hear evidence in the case needs to be dissolved. According to ABC News, it has not even heard any evidence since January.

Elon Musk has a proposal for Truth Social
Despite calls from the right wing for Elon Musk to let Donald Trump return on Twitter, the former president has so far insisted he will remain on his own bespoke social networking platform, Truth Social, despite its catastrophic decline in engagement and the the fact that he has only written on it once.
Now Mr Musk has a proposal for a rebranding of Truth Social: “Truth Social (terrible name) exists because Twitter censored freedom of speech,” he tweeted. “Should instead be called the trumpet!”
The same name was also suggested by Georgia Congressman Andrew Clyde in 2021, after Mr Trump was first fired from Twitter.

Former President Donald Trump said he feared angry protesters would hit him with “very dangerous” fruits at his campaign rallies.
“I wanted people to be ready because we were put on alert that they would make fruit,” Trump said in the October 2021 decision, according to a transcript of the case filed in court Tuesday.
The 45th President of the United States said that “tomatoes are bad” and that “some fruit is much worse”. Washington Post reported.

McCarthy assures his colleagues that he has never asked Trump to resign
House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, who is defending his private talks, has assured his colleagues that he has never asked former President Donald Trump to resign because of the January 6 riots.
It was Mr McCarthy’s first face-to-face meeting with Republicans in the House of Representatives amid the aftermath of his criticism of the former president and the party’s most right-wing members.
One Republican in the room said the meeting was “cathartic” for lawmakers, while another expressed confidence that McCarthy would be the “next speaker,” according to the Associated Press.
“He’s got support from the conference and a little more,” Representative Dan Meuser said as he left the private session at GOP headquarters. “You’re obsessed with January 6. No one cares,” Representative Glenn Grothman told reporters, adding that “it’s history.”

Whistleblower in Deutsche Bank and Donald Trump case found dead
A whistleblower who allegedly worked with authorities to investigate Deutsche Bank’s activities and its links to former President Donald Trump was found dead at a high school in Los Angeles.
Valentin Broeksmit, 46, was found dead Monday around noon. He was last seen on April 6, 2021 driving a red Mini Cooper in Griffith Park.
Broeksmit had offered hundreds of bank documents to federal investigators and journalists investigating links between the bank and Trump, ABC10News reported.
Journalist Scott Stedman said he did not suspect dishonesty in his friend’s death as he struggled with drugs on and off.
