Travis Scott goes from dipping his toe in the performance pool to getting deep in the waist – the guy’s first public show is booked … and it’s going down in Miami next month.
The rapper is scheduled to go on stage on Saturday, May 7 at the hotspot E11EVEN – where he appears to be the protagonist of Race Week. There’s a Formula 1 Grand Prix that will go down around the same time … so it’s going to pop up in and around the city.
According to advertising flyers and E11EVEN’s own website … tickets are on sale now at a price of $ 150 to $ 250, depending on whether you are a man or a woman. Ladies come in cheaper, of course.
VIP tables are also available for reservation … and they can go for a nice penny, supposedly up to $ 100k depending on what happens. Considering this will be Travis’ first foray, musically, before a large audience … you have to imagine the cost will be higher.
This is certainly not the first time TS has grabbed a microphone since Astroworld Fest tragedy in November, when 10 people died. He has frolicked in minor performances in the months since – including a limited set of one pre-Oscars partyditto for one Coachella afterparty.
At both events, there seemed to be some enthusiasm around his presence … but time will tell if a club like E11EVEN can muster a large audience. The jury is out on how people feel about him these days.
In the beginning, there was a lot of anger directed at him … when some felt that he continued the show despite seemingly clear signs that people were in need – but in the wake of all that, there has been different evidence suggests he may in fact have been in the dark about the seriousness.
Yet he is in the middle several lawsuits who has named him as an accused … and it will take years to work through the justice system. In the meantime, he’s making a comeback – or at least trying.
One thing’s for sure … we’ll see. 👀
