Tottenham are trying to sign Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus in front of Arsenal according to reports.
The Gunners have made Jesus one of their top goals for the summer window as Mikel Arteta needs to improve his attacking options before the new season begins.
Last week, reports claimed that Arsenal are closing a deal for the Brazilian national team player as they are confident the player will join them.
But according to Gianluca Di Marzio, ‘Tottenham are’ moving under the radar ‘to sign Jesus in front of their North London rivals.
In addition, the Daily Mirror reports that Antonio Conte is a big fan of Jesus’ versatility, and Tottenham are pushing to get the 25-year-old.
It is believed that City want £ 50 million for Jesus, who is eager to leave the Premier League champions to secure more playing time.
Spurs have the advantage of being able to offer Champions League football to Jesus after their fourth place in the Premier League last season.
But last month, Jesus’ agent insisted that Arsenal are among the frontrunners to bring City forward.
“We had discussions with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus, and yes, we like the project,” Pettinati told Fabrizio Romano.
‘It is a serious possibility so we are discussing.
“There are six clubs more interested in Gabriel Jesus, he is now focused on the last matches with Manchester City, so we have to see what happens.”
