If there’s one place you do not want to get stitches, it’s probably on your penis – and that’s the unfortunate fate that an Argentine footballer suffered over the weekend.
Albacete defender Mariano Bittolo was involved in a freak collision with one of his teammates, who saw his sensitive flesh demand urgent attention during a 0-0 Spanish Segnda division draw with SD Huesca.
No players scored on the pitch on Saturday and it is unlikely Bittolo will score from it in the near future after second Albacete star Roman Zozulya’s buds scraped his limb down and cut it up as the pair jumped close together in their own penalty area.
Bittolo was seen rolling around in pain and hammering on the floor in pure pain before being immediately replaced.
Club doctor Eduardo Rodriguez told the Spanish newspaper Marca that he demanded TI stitches for mini-Bittolo after the unfortunate collision in the 82nd minute.
It is not expected that the 27-year-old will miss any fights as a result of the collision, so he has at least not been given any insult to the bizarre injury.
