Texas toddlers found unharmed inside car with body of man shot and killed: reports

A 3-year-old Texas boy was found unharmed in the back seat of the vehicle along with a man who was shot and killed in the driver’s seat Friday night, according to local reports.

Officers in western Houston responded to a reported shooting incident in the 14300 block at Fern Drive in Memorial just after noon. Houston police said.

Responding officers found a white sedan stopped on the cul-de-sac with an unidentified man in the front seat with his foot still on the parking brake, FOX26 Houston reported. The man appeared to have been shot dead.

The child was found in good condition in the back seat, the station informs. The boy’s relationship with the man was unclear.

Investigators believe the victim and the shooter may have known each other. No motive was immediately given.

Police said no weapon was found from the scene, KHOU-TV reported.

An investigation is still ongoing.
