Could the Super Bowl only be the first thing Travis Kelce loses this year? Could his relationship with Taylor Swift be next?
That’s the latest fan theory about the needlessly controversial couple after the Kansas City Chiefs‘ heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Not only that, her own losses at the Grammys last week are also going to contribute. Some folks don’t think these two can survive together amid all the disappointment!

This theory started to spread FAST! We don’t think the game was even over yet! Over on TikTok, fan Ali King articulated it well — though harshly! She described Tay and Trav as being in their “loser era” now. Ouch! And that could pose big problems to their relationship, or so the thinking goes:
“Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are about to enter a new phase of their relationship, because they have only been with each other when they’ve been winning. This year, they both lost. She lost Album of the Year and now he just lost the Super Bowl , when last year she won Album of the Year and he won the Super Bowl. So now they have to be with each other and see that side; see the losing side of Taylor Swift, see the losing side of Travis Kelce. They don’t know each other as losers, they only know each other as winners.”
She’s not wrong about them only knowing one another as winners. They haven’t really seen one another in the bad times. And you never really know someone All Too Well until you see their highs and lows.
Of course, Trav is still a future Hall of Famer tight end on the AFC Championship team, a multimillionaire on a super popular podcast, getting offered tons of fun acting gigs. And Tay is still one of the highest selling female artists of all time, a literal billionaire, with tons of awards and a fanbase who would die for her. If this is their low and they’re losers, what the heck chance do the rest of us have? Put it into perspective, y’all! It’s one game and one award show! If this is really going to break them, then they must be insanely fragile to begin with.

We’re going to take this theory, like all previous ones about Tayvis, with a grain of salt for now. We think these two are pretty locked-in — and are only going to support one another. But what do U think? Sound OFF (below).
