On Tuesday morning, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired the Council meeting, which was held in the office of His Highness the Ruler.
During its meeting, the Council discussed several issues related to monitoring the government’s performance and developing its services, in order to keep pace with the growth observed by the Emirate of Sharjah in its various sectors.
The Council approved the recommendations of the progress report of the Sharjah Government Medical Committee for the year 2023, which discussed the most outstanding results, practices and skills of the committee since the beginning of its functions. received more than 40,000 transactions submitted by 91 local government agencies through the electronic system.
The Council approved a project for the verification of fuel meters at petrol stations, which aims to monitor the economic establishments concerned and the extent of their commitment to legal metrology and to ensure that they do not violate and do not meet the conditions that guarantee an accurate reading of the quantities of fuel circulating in relation to the price that the consumer must pay.
The Council approved a proposal to replace the insurance amount for the exercise of certain economic activities with a valid insurance policy, with the aim of covering the risks that may arise when exercising certain activities. The approval results from the great commitment of the institutions concerned. to the conditions and controls for exercising activities, and to the support of economic institutions to benefit from cash liquidity.
During its meeting, the Council also reviewed the status of new work on updating the procedures of government services and the work of various committees, which aim to provide the best services to individuals and businesses at the level of cities and regions in the Emirate of Sharjah.
