Sergei Milinkovic-Savic’s agent denies “false” Manchester United transfer speculation
Agent for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has smashed “fake” reports in which he allegedly claimed that his client was keen to move to Manchester United.
Mateja Kezman, the former Chelsea striker, represents the Serbian midfielder.
Several Italian publications brought quotes over the weekend in which Kezman was quoted as saying he was in talks with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain over a summer switch for Milinkovic-Savic.
It was then alleged that Kezman said his client was keen on switching to Old Trafford and that he was hoping to make a switch to the club.
However, the former PSV striker has smashed the allegations, saying they are completely ‘false’.
“That’s fake news,” Kezman said.
‘I’ve never given interviews in the last period, some journalists are really incredible!’
“I’m very angry, it’s a lack of respect for me, for Sergei and Lazio.”
United are eager to strengthen their midfield this season as Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Nemanja Matic are all ready to leave the club.
Erik ten Hag is keen to bring in Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, but the Dutchman plays a deeper role than Milinkovic-Savic.
