It’s now three years since the last Ryder Cup, and expectations have grown to soaring levels ahead of the Whistling Straits clash that starts this Friday.
Europe are the defending champions and have won seven of the last nine editions of the tournament, but it is the Americans who go in as favorites to lift the trophy on Sunday at home.
Europe last won the United States in Medinah in 2012 in the epic, memorable victory when current US captain Steve Stricker played for his country.
Padraig Harrington, Europe’s captain this year, made six appearances in the tournament and won four times.
When and where is the Ryder Cup?
The convention will be held Friday-Sunday, September 26 at Whistling Straits, Kohler, Wisconsin.
