We’ve all been obsessed with Ryan Gosling as Ken in the new Barbie movie, but what does longtime partner Eva Mendes think?
Well, Ryan has wasted his teen, and we reckon Eva will be one of the first in line to grab a ticket to the movie.
In Barbie – scheduled for release in 2023 – Ryan plays opposite Margot Robbie, who takes on the role of the titular character.
Pictures from the set have gotten fans pretty excited thanks to the costumes, where one look in particular went viral after Ryan was seen on roller skates wearing a pair of fluorescent skates.
During a performance on The One Show, the 41-year-old Canadian star made fun of the screaming ensemble, while Roman Kemp asked if he ever thought these pictures would become ‘the biggest pictures on the planet’.
‘No, I did not,’ Ryan replied with a laugh, before Alex Scott asked him what Eva’s verdict was about the outfit.
“Not many can do that. What did your wife Eva think about it, what did she think about the look? ‘, She asked.
“She’s been very supportive,” Ryan said.
‘She supports my Kenergy. She started a hashtag, ‘That’s My Ken, which meant a lot to me’, and ‘Kenery’ is now our new favorite word, thank you.
Capital FM host Roman continued to grill him about whether there was ‘anything’ else he could share about the film, but The Notebook star remained tight, which probably only increased the excitement around the project.
“You know, I could tell you that The Gray Man would be Ken’s favorite movie,” the actor joked, referring to his latest release.
Ryan and Eva are famously private and like to keep to themselves, so it’s always nice when we get an insight into their relationship.
The couple is not technically married, but they have been together since 2011.
They met on the set of their film The Place Beyond the Pines over ten years ago and have been strong and stable ever since, and they now share two daughters – Esmeralda at seven and Amada at six.
While Hollywood stars are known for keeping their family out of the spotlight, they have shared some details over the past few months.
Actress Eva, 48 – who has a cleaning brand called Skura – revealed to people how life at home works for their family, and shares: ‘Ryan is the chef. He’s an amazing cook. ‘
She added: ‘I think there’s a really good balance between,’ You cook, I clean. ‘ And it just works for us. “
Eva even admitted to being a ‘control freak’ when it comes to cleaning, but she finds it therapeutic.
Catch Ryan – along with people like Ncuti Gatwa and Emma Mackey – in Barbie next year.
