Roadtrip raises money for deployed troops

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – A road trip raises money to send monthly care packages to deployed service members.

Roadtrip was organized by JDog, which collaborates with RED and Soldiers’ Angels, an organization that provides assistance to military members, veterans, and their families.

On Thursday, the group traveled to Hagerstown in style in a red specially wrapped BMW to create awareness and get donations.

The trip started in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, traveling through Maryland and ending back in Pennsylvania.

“I think we as Americans go on with our lives every day without being aware that there are troops constantly deploying every week,” said JDog Brands CEO and veteran Jerry Flanagan. “It is only highlighted when there is a war or an invasion, but for the last 70 years, troops have been deployed around the world to protect us and our country. “

The last part of the trip ended in Philadelphia. The collection will continue throughout the month of May.
