Protagonist Pictures hires Alice Vail as creative director – Deadline

The British sales company Protagonist Pictures has appointed Alice Vail as Creative Executive.

Vail comes from the number 9 film, where she was development editor and worked on images, including Eva Husson’s official selection at Cannes Mother’s Sunday, and Oliver Hermanus’ Sundance picture Live. She began her career at Casarotto Ramsay & Associates.

Vail reports to Development Manager Len Rowles and Head of Acquisitions Luane Gauer and will work across Protagonist’s film and television projects with a focus on supporting new talent.

“We are pleased to welcome Alice to the Protagonist team,” Rowles and Gauer said in a joint statement. “Her broad industry experience, ability to analyze scripts for a worldwide market appeal, and her passion for spotting and nurturing new talent make her a great asset to our development and acquisition activities.”
