Police have released a picture of a man they want to talk to after a pensioner was hit by his own car during a robbery. The woman – aged in her 70s – was lying wounded on the ground after the incident in Shaw, Oldham, on Saturday night (May 7).

An “unknown man” managed to gain access to the blue Ford Eco-Sport car while it was parked on the driveway to a property in Netherhouse Road around 1 p.m. As he was driving away, police said he collided with the owner of the vehicle.

The victim was left with wounds to the head. Both the suspect and the car are still at large.
