A man has been arrested after police in Bury discovered a cannabis farm on a residential road this morning.

About 250 plants were discovered along with cultivation equipment, with the entire setup barely hidden behind a set of curtains in the front room of the property on Balmoral Avenue.

All the growth has now been seized and a man, an Albanian citizen, has been arrested.

It is the latest in a series of major attacks around Greater Manchester.

350 plants were discovered in Radcliffe in early March. 1,500 plants were found on a property in Prestwich earlier this year.
