Once again, it looks like the next batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers has been leaked early. The leak comes from Dealslab, a French gaming site that has been reporting PS Plus series correctly for more than six months now. According to the leak, the PS Plus series for May 2022 includes FIFA 2022, Curse of the Dead Gods and Tribes of Midgard.
FIFA 22 do not really need an introduction. Soccer (or soccer) sim is one of the most popular sports games in the world and FIFA 22 is one of the best entries in recent years. It got an 8/10 in our FIFA 22 review. FIFA 22’s PS5 and PS4 versions will apparently be free.
Middle-earth tribes is an action-RPG game from an isometric perspective. Tribes of Midgard is designed to play with friends and offers a dangerous world filled with giant mysterious enemies. The overall story nods back to Ragnarök, one of the most important events in Norse mythology. Although Tribes of Midgard has survival and rogue-like elements, it is more accessible than many other games within these genres. Tribes of Midgards PS4 and PS5 versions will be free.
Published in 2021, The curse of the dead gods is also an isometric action game. Curse of the Dead Gods is more of a traditional action-rogue-like one and takes place in a dangerous temple filled with increasingly challenging enemies. It offers a lot of variety in its fast-paced combat thanks to its curse system as well as a lot of different weapon classes.
May’s batch of free games may be the last before the renewed PS Plus subscription launches in June with three levels. PlayStation users will be able to choose between three levels for their PS Plus subscription; Essential, Extra and Premium. However, all three levels will still include monthly freebies. For more details on the benefits and prices, see our overview of the three PS Plus levels.
