Hope Mills, NC – Deputies are looking for the person who stole gas for thousands of dollars from a gas station in Cumberland County.
The theft happened on June 17 at Circle K on North Main Street in Hope Mills.
In all, $ 11,783 worth of gas was stolen.

As gas prices have reached historic highs, fuel thefts have been reported in other cities in North Carolina, including Cary and High Point.
