Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten launches on September 8 for PS5 and PS4 in Japan, PC worldwide

Monochrome Mobius: Rights and mistakes forgotten launches for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in Japan, and for PC via Steam worldwide on September 8, Aquaplus announced. The PC version will be released by DMM Games and Shiravune and includes subtitle support for English, Japanese and Chinese.

Users who purchase the game before December 31st on PC via Steam will receive a digital art book featuring character designs and illustrations from the game and the digital soundtrack “Prelude”, which features a selection of 30 songs from the game’s musical repertoire.

In Japan, the game will be priced at 8,580 yen. A limited edition will also be available, which includes an exclusive box, art book and the original soundtrack of 30 tracks “Prelude”. Early purchases of both editions will include a digital version of the soundtrack, and digital pre-orders will include several days of early access to the game (exact date will be announced) plus two downloadable devices.

Produced by the legendary composer Naoya Shimokawa and written by Udawarerumono author Munemitsu Suga, with the support of the studio’s excellent art direction, led by character designer Mi, Monochrome Mobius: Rights and mistakes forgotten focuses on the heart of any great RPG: story.

Ennakamuy, a vassal state of Yamato located abroad, is home to a young man who lives with his mother and little sister.

One day, while this man is investigating a minor case at the instigation of Owlo (the Emperor), he encounters a mysterious girl.

She tells him something incredible – that his father, who is believed to be dead, is actually still very much alive.

In search of the truth, he decides to leave his village and head towards Arva Shulan, a mysterious land that is not found on any map.

He overcomes one obstacle after another to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Along the way, he meets like-minded comrades and goes through hardships, happiness, setbacks, and painful separations together.

As fate would have it, the man slowly finds himself being swept into the middle of a critical turning point in the story.

This is the story of a man who later becomes “Utawarerumono” – those who are praised.

He lives in Ennakamuy, a village abroad with his mother Torikori and little sister Nekone. Young and full of a sense of justice, he works hard every day. One day, he meets Shunya, a mysterious girl who seems to know something about her father’s enigmatic death. This encounter inspires him to travel to an unknown land in search of the truth.

Shunya (pronounced by Yuko Minaguchi)

A mysterious girl who one day shows up in front of Oshtor. She looks young and innocent, but her way of speaking is confusing at times. Shunya tells Oshtor that his father, who allegedly died in connection with his duty, is still alive, and accompanies him on his journey to solve this mystery.

Munechika (pronounced by Saori Hayami)

Daughter of Murasame, Lord of Izumo. She is beautiful and very polite, but her warrior side also shows up from time to time. She accompanies Oshtor on his journey as one of his allies.

Mikazuchi (pronounced by Yuya Uchida)

A young man who once crashed Oshtor’s training session. Very strong and a little rude in demeanor, he is an honorable man who never betrays his principles. Mikazuchi continues to grow alongside Oshtor as his good friend and friendly rival.
