Mike Tyson clearly has no problem with fans respecting his seat … take a look at a picture Mike took with a guy a few minutes after hitting another guy on a plane.
Tyson is only smiling in the photo, taken by TMZ, shot outside the gate of his JetBlue flight. We are told that the photo was taken right after Mike got off the plane, which of course was where he unloaded his fists of rage on the face of an “overly excited” fan.
Despite Mike’s actions just moments before the fan in our picture tells us he was super friendly and relaxed. Fans say he gave Mike the book “Basic Economics” Thomas Sowell – because Tyson is such a businessman.
Funny enough, Mike was still holding the book when he landed in Miami Thursday night.
The new image could work to Mike’s advantage, to show that he’s cool with fans who are cool with him. Tyson’s team claimed the man on the plane, Melvin Townsend IIIbecame overly aggressive and harassed Mike and even threw a water bottle at the champ, even before the plane left the gate.
With regard to Townsend, he is a lawyeremployment Matt Morgan by Morgan & Morgan. Matt tells us that things between the men were cool at first, but “At one point, Mr. Tyson was clearly agitated by an overly agitated fan and started beating him in an exaggerated way. This situation could have been avoided by simply contact the stewardess. Our client denies having thrown a water bottle before he was hit by Mr. Tyson. “
We’re told that Townsend has not yet decided whether he will take legal action against Mike or not, but it certainly sounds like that’s where it’s going.
