Microsoft’s earnings increased in the last quarter with demand for cloud services

Microsoft revenue and profits rose last quarter as demand for its cloud services and software continued to rise with the shift to telecommuting triggered by the pandemic.

For the quarter to March, Redmond, Washington said its revenue rose 18% from a year earlier to $ 49.4 billion, as its net income rose 8% to $ 16.7 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet had predicted that it would announce revenue of around $ 49 billion and net income of around $ 16 billion for the quarter.
