Megan Thee Stallion tells why she originally said she stepped on glass in shooting incident, denies sexual relationship with Tory Lanez and more in new interview

As previously reported, Megan Thee stallion opened up about the unfortunate shooting episode that left her wounded back in 2020. The first clip from the interview got people talking online, and on Monday, CBS Mornings dropped the rest of the interview.

In the interview, an emotionally charged Megan told why she first told police she stepped on glass instead of revealing that she had been shot in the foot. Megan said,

“I did not want them to kill any of us or shoot any of us, so I just said I stepped on glass. For some reason, I was just trying to protect us all because I “did not want them to kill us. Even though this person just did this to me, my first reaction was still to try to save us. I did not want to see anyone die. So I just said I stepped on glass.”

There has been a lot of back and forth about who hit the trigger on the night of the incident. Megan said it was Tory Lanezbut Tory continues to maintain his innocence, and some people have mentioned Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Nicole who was also present that evening.

In text messages obtained by CBS News, it was revealed that on the night of the shooting, Kelsey sent a text message to Megan’s security guard, saying: “Help! Tory shot Me. “

CBS contacted Kelsey’s lawyer, who declined to comment on the situation, but said

“I can assure you that my client has not been paid a dime by any party involved to ‘remain silent’, as suggested in social media posts.”

It was also thought that Troy and Megan had more than just a friendship, and jealously they may have played a role in the situation on the night of the shooting.

As previously reported, back in February, Tory tweeted“Well d * ck had me fuck 2 best friends … and I got caught. That’s what I apologized for 4 … it’s sick how you spun it.”

But Megan tells Gayle that she and Tory were not dating, nor were they having a sexual relationship.

“We were not dating, we were really close,” Megan said. “We were friends, we hung out like every day, and his mom passed by, too. I feel like we were attached to it.”

Earlier this month, Megan and Tory appeared in court and it was Tory handcuffs after violating the personal contact order when he tweeted out about the incident. Shortly after, he issued his $ 350,000 bail and was released from custody.
