Max joins the WNYC Newsroom as a public safety reporter

Samantha Max

WNYC has hired Samantha Max as a reporter on the public security team covering security, police and the justice system. She comes from Nashville Public Radio, where she was a criminal reporter on WPLN-FM 90.3.

Max also served as a health and inequality reporter at The Telegraph in Macon, Ga. as one of the first 13 journalists employed by Report for America. She has at Hoy, the Chicago edition of the Chicago Tribune and the Northwestern University Research Center.

She was also an intern at WYPR-FM 88.1, a public radio station in Baltimore.

Max is a graduate of Northwestern University.
