Manchester City entertained Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure a comfortable win at home in the Manchester derby. Pep Guardiola’s men started the game brightly and were in front after eight minutes thanks to Phil Foden’s impressive finish. Erling Haaland doubled Man City’s advantage with a solid header in the 34th minute and made it 3-0 just three minutes later with a long-range finish at the far post. Phil Foden killed off the game just before the break when he found the net from close range as Man City led 4-0 at the break.
Antony scored for Man United in the 56th minute with a stunning strike from long range. However, Guardiola’s players added two more goals as Haaland and Foden went on to complete their hat-trick. Anthony Martial restored some pride for the Red Devils after he scored a late strike, but Manchester City ran out dominant 6-3 winners in front of their home supporters.
