Man who bit off another man’s nipple gets three years in prison

A Chicago man has been sentenced to three years in prison after biting off another man’s nipple during a road rage incident last summer.

CWB Chicago reports that Kyle Clark, 36, pleaded guilty Sept. 29 to aggravated battery on a peace officer and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, according to court records.

The assault suspect has already served time from electronic monitoring since the incident last summer

Judge Lawrence Flood sentenced Clark to concurrent terms of three years on each charge, with 405 days already served for Clark’s time in custody when the case was pending.

The majority of that credit was earned with electronic surveillance, the outlet reports.

An off-duty officer and another victim, both 38-year-old men, were driving north on Lake Shore Drive around 1 p.m. 11:40 p.m. on August 8, 2021, when Clark’s black Volkswagen Jetta rear-ended them near Jackson Street.

The men pulled up to the Jetta and ordered Clark to stop the vehicle so they could file an accident report, in which the responding police officer identified himself as a Chicago police officer, prosecutors said during Clark’s initial bail hearing.

Clark and the man both exited their cars and began fighting, with Clark punching the police twice in the face, prosecutors said.

When the second victim tried to help the officer, Clark allegedly bit the man’s nipple, ripping it completely off his body.

Clark was eventually taken into custody after on-duty officers arrived. The man, who lost a nipple, was transported to an area hospital where he had the wound closed with stitches, according to the outlet.

He also reportedly had a gun on him at the time of the incident.

Clark’s sentence was part of a plea deal with prosecutors who dropped two counts of aggravated assault and two weapons counts in exchange for a guilty plea.

While his parole date has yet to be set, the three-year sentence is already technically cut in half under the state’s standard discount for good behavior.

Clark will likely be released in approximately 140 days while time served is taken into account.

Social media is having a field day with the strange nature of Clark’s accusations

Social media had a field day with the ridiculousness of the accusations.

“Kyle Clark, 35, also had a gun in his car, according to the allegations. But you’re probably more interested in hearing about the nipple,” one person quoted in a tweet.

“Kyle Clark, 35, also had a gun in his car, but teeth in his mouth,” joked another.

“Here’s a news organization that knows its readers well and makes sure they don’t leave you hanging,” wrote a third of the outlet’s reporting on the bitten nipple.

Not much information was available about Clark as of Wednesday. Google and social media searches turned up little, and coverage of the story remained sparse at the time of this article’s publication.
