The first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder was finally released this month, and although it teased Russell Crowe as Zeus, fans still have not gotten an official glimpse of Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. However, there has been promo art by the Oscar-winning actor in the role as well as a Hasbro Marvel Legends character. People have seen enough to start creating some fun Gorr fan art, and a piece by Ahmad Safwan combines Bale’s Marvel character with Patrick Bateman, Bale’s iconic character from American Psycho.
“‘Hi Thor-‘ * swings the sword. So they did not go CG with Gorr. Interesting. Hope we see Christian Bale fully unleashed in this, haha,” Safwan wrote the post. Of course, this is a game on the “Hey Paul” line, as Bateman pronounces, before hitting Paul Allen (Jared Leto) in the head with an ax. The real question is … Does Thor like Huey Lewis and the News? You can see the art below:
“We have not even got the first official look at the movie version of Gorr the God Butcher yet,” Gorr co-creator Jason Aaron wrote shortly after the trailer’s release. “I’ve seen some concerns online about Gorr’s design, based on glimpses of the character’s action figure. As the guy who helped create him, along with Esad, I just want to say it was not Gorr’s nose (or lack thereof). “) that made him the tragic and deeply troubled God Butcher that he was. Trust Christian Bale’s face. I need to remind you, it’s a damn talented face.”
The crew of Thor: Love and Thunder is exciting. Not only does Chris Hemsworth return as Thor, but Natalie Portman is back as Jane Foster AKA The Mighty Thor, Tessa Thompson as King Valkyrie and Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif. The most of Guardians of the Galaxy stars are also expected to appear in the film.
“Well, right in between [me and] you and the readers, I’ve made something crazy in my life. I have lived ten lives. But it’s the craziest movie I’ve ever made, “director Taika Waititi said earlier when talking about Thor 4. “If you wrote down all the elements of this movie, it would not make sense,” he added, “it’s almost like it should not be made. If you went into a room and said, ‘I want this and that here and this. ‘ Who’s in it These people What do you want to call it? Love and Thunder. I mean, you would never work again. Maybe I do not want to go after this. “
Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters on July 8th.
