According to the New York Times, Richmond is the first of Biden’s close advisers to leave, making him one of the first close Biden advisers to leave. Richmond is expected to enter the private sector and consult for the Democratic National Convention, according to Martin’s tweet. Richmond resigned his position in the 2nd District of Congress in 2020 to join Biden’s administration. Richmond also chaired Biden’s national campaign.
