For Coachella’s second weekend, headliner Harry Styles surprised his fans by bringing Lizzo up on stage to perform with him. On Friday (April 22), the “As It Was” singer started hitting “I Will Survive” when Lizzo suddenly showed up to back him up on Gloria Gaynors beloved classic. The couple admired the audience with their dunce tones as they danced around in matching pink plumage. Moments later, they drove the audience insane with their rendition of 2011’s “What Makes You Beautiful” from Harry’s boy band days in One Direction. Watch the insane duet below!
Harry is getting used to sharing the limelight with other A-lists as he brought the country music legend Shania Twain up on stage during his head coach set last weekend. The British pop star, 28, took over the music festival Indio, California by performing three songs from his new album Harry’s house, including the hit single “As It Was” before Shania, 56, joined him for two of her iconic songs; “Man, I feel like a woman” and “You’re still the one.”
While chatting between their songs, Harry gave Shania a huge compliment by saying he was “eternally grateful” to her for teaching him to sing while he was growing up. “Now I must tell you that in the car with my mother as a child, this lady taught me to sing,” Harry told the audience, before joking, “She also taught me that men are rubbish. But to you, for those memories , you gave me with my mother, I am eternally grateful. ” Shania replied, “I’m speechless, I’m a bit of a starstruck. When I wrote this song, you were just a child, so it’s a bit of a dream and very surreal to sit right here with you.”
Meanwhile, in his first appearance at the famous Coachella Festival, Harry opened his set by telling the adoring audience, “We have the full moon, you have a ticket, and I have the taste.” He would continue to sing a set of 18 songs, including hits such as “Adore You”, “Watermelon Sugar”, “Cherry” and “Golden”.
