Two fires that broke out in Surrey yesterday (April 23) in the Ash Range and Dolleys Hill Park continue today, the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service confirmed. Both incidents take place in Pirbright.
The fire department said in a tweet at. 13.37 yesterday: “We are currently present at a fire in the open near Henley Park in #Pirbright after receiving the first call at 11.28. We have 12 fire and rescue vehicles there, including specialist units.
“Please avoid the area and those nearby should close windows and doors.”

Another tweet from the fire department yesterday at. 16.49 then read: “Another fire has developed near the one in Henley Park in #Pirbright. This has nine fire and rescue vehicles present and is located in Dolleys Hill Park, Pirbright Road. The houses nearby should also close windows and doors. “
It is not yet clear if there is any damage caused by the fire in the village, which is located in the Guildford district. SurreyLive has reached out to emergency services, including police ambulance and fire, for further information.
Dramatic photographs and video show smoke billowing into the air over the landscape as a result of the fires. It is unclear at this time how they started.
