Lily Peters Chippewa Falls latest news

CHIPPEWA Falls police are stepping up their search for Lily Peters’ killer around local schools and have yet to find the 10-year-old’s killer.

The body of Iliana Lily’s remains was discovered in a wooded area not far from her bike Monday morning outside Lienenkugel’s Brewery in Chippewa Falls, a few blocks from her home in Wisconsin.

Lily cycled four streets from her aunt’s house to her house – however, the little girl never came, and her father reported her missing.

Chippewa Falls police said, “There may be a danger to the public,” as they tightened security at pick-up and drop-off around Lily’s school.

Her death was compared to the 1996 case of Amber Hagerman, 9, who was torn from her bicycle and found dead days later, inspiring the Amber Alert system.
