“Kevin McCarthy is a liar and a traitor,” Warren told co-star Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union” when asked about the recording.

“This is outrageous. And it really is the disease that is plaguing the Republican leadership right now that they are saying one thing to the American public and something else private,” she continued.

“They understand that it is wrong what happened, an attempt to overthrow our government. And that Republicans will instead continue to try to figure out how to make the 2020 election different, instead of using “their energy on how we are moving forward. to build an economy, to make this country work better for the people who sent us to Washington,” she continued, adding: “Shame on Kevin McCarthy.”
