After over a decade, Tony Hinchcliffe‘s live stand-up comedy podcast is getting the streaming treatment.
Hosted by Hinchcliffe and Brian Redban, Kill Tony is heading to Netflix. New episodes of Kill Tony are released every Monday night on YouTube.
For those unfamiliar with the viral series, the show gives comedians the opportunity to put their name into the Bucket of Destiny, where if chosen, they land a one-minute stand-up spot.
Afterward, they get live critiques from a panel of comics and critics, which according to Netflix, have included Shane Gillis, Post Malone, Joe Rogan, Andrew Schulz and Theo Von, among others.
Now, Hinchcliffe is taking his wildly popular show to the streamer with a likely lucrative new deal.

When does Kill Tony premiere on Netflix?
The first of three Kill Tony specials arrives on Netflix April 7. This special will be shot at The Comedy Mothership in Austin, Texas. Per Netflix, additional premiere dates and guest lineups will be announced later.
Who is Tony Hinchcliffe?
Hinchcliffe has been hosting Kill Tony since its June 2013 debut. According to Netflix, Kill Tony “was the most watched comedy show of 2024 compiling 800 million minutes viewed on a single episode.”
Outside of his success on Kill Tony, Hinchcliffe made headlines after making waves at Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady, where he took jabs at Brady, Kevin Hart, Rob Gronkowski and Kim Kardashian, among others.
He also sparked backlash after his appearance at Donald Trump‘s October 2024 rally at Madison Square Garden, where his controversial roast included calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean.” Jon Stewart surprisingly came to his defense on The Daily Show, saying that while it was “probably not the best decision by the campaign politically,” Hinchcliffe was “just really doing what he does” by performing a roast.
In a statement shared with Netflix announcing the deal, Hinchcliffe said he was looking forward to expanding his reach through streaming. “Myself and our entire crew of Austin comedians, peers, and upcomers are excited for the opportunity to share our chaotic, insane show with a whole new chunk of the globe,” he said.
He continued, “It all started in a room at The Comedy Store with 12 audience members and barely anyone watching in 2013, after world tours and 700+ Monday releases on YouTube it seems the persistence has paid off and now to think that I can pull a name out of a bucket and that person will be performing standup and an improvised interview on the largest streaming service in the world is both exciting and frightening.”
Describing the show as “the most spontaneous and improvised show that is out there,” he lauded Netflix for giving them “the creative freedom” to “keep the show in its pure form.”
What are the details of the Kill Tony Netflix deal?
Hinchcliffe’s deal with the streaming giant involve three exclusive Kill Tony specials, as well as his own hour-long stand-up special.
Per Netflix, “The specials will feature a mix of established comedians and surprise celebrity guests, while blending rapid-fire standup sets from aspiring comedians with sharp and often brutal feedback from Hinchcliffe and his panel of seasoned comics.”
The streamer promises more details will be released soon.
