Kendrick Lamar is a man with many faces, including some very famous ones, which he includes in his new music video … deals with the most infamous moments of the last few years.
On Sunday, KL dropped a song called ‘The Heart Part 5′, where he talks about the culture at lightning speed, hopscotching through different scenarios and using celebs’ names to make his point – among other things. Will Smith, Kanye West and Jussie Smollett.
That’s true … the video shows Kendrick’s face change to all these men at different times in the song, using some fancy technology that we suppose you could equate with a deep fake.
He also performs OJ Simpson briefly, while raising a “bulletproof Rover” that apparently refers to the Ford Bronco from that time. Then he goes over to Yes’ face, mentioning “bipolar friends,” and finally to Jussie, saying, “the streets made me toot.”

Eventually his face becomes Wills as he raps this … “In the land where wounded people hurt more people // F *** call it culture.” Of course, he addresses the Oscars there.
There are two other stars he transforms into … the late Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle. In both cases, he refers to death and reflects on the legacy he leaves behind … and prays that it is a worthy one.
Awaiting your permission to load Instagram Media.
The Nipsey line is especially telling … Kendrick raps: “To my brother, to my children, I’m in heaven // To my mother, to my sister, I’m in heaven // To my father, to my wife, I take it seriously, this is heaven “… goes on to say that he forgives the killer who hastened his death.
In this case, it appears that he is rapping as Nipsey … and addresses Nipsey’s alleged killer, Eric Holder. Lots of food for thought in this – K.Dot’s new album will be released on Friday.
