Houston police initially reported Dominguez was charged with assault. But according to court records, he was discharged for the drug attack after a judge found no probable cause.

He pledged his $ 100 bail for the DWI tax, court records show.

The accident happened around kl. 5:15 a.m. in the 8500 block of Southwest Freeway, where an HPD officer patrol unit was hit on the right shoulder while blocking traffic for a Dodge Ram truck that had run out of gas.

When the Ram truck was loaded on a tow truck, police said the driver of a red Ford Focus had been driving in the right lane and rear end the patrol car, triggering a chain reaction. The patrol car was pushed into the Dodge Ram.
The tractor driver, who was standing next to Ram, was hit by the door of the truck during the collision, according to police.

The officer, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, was taken to Memorial Hermann with a concussion. Another officer sitting in the passenger seat was brought to the hospital with possible minor injuries.

HPD said both officers were later released from the hospital.
