Jada Pinkett Smith (sort of) addresses the slap in the face of ‘Red Table Talk’ returns

The Facebook series briefly referred to her husband Will Smith’s Oscars clap at the top of the most recent episode, but only on title cards. It was not talked about during the episode.

“Given all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focused on deep healing,” read a title card at the beginning of the episode. “Some of the discoveries surrounding our healing will be shared at the table when time calls for it.”

The episode was released on Wednesday.

After the title cards were shown, the show continued with a pre-recorded segment that was filmed before the Oscars on March 27th. Pinkett Smith, her daughter, Willow Smith, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, spoke with guest Janelle Monáe.

During the Oscars, Smith hit comedian Chris Rock on stage after a joke Rock made about Pinkett Smith, comparing her cropped hair to Demi Moore’s character in “GI Jane.”

Actor Will Smith was banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years

“Keep my wife’s name out of your f — ing mouth!” shouted Smith.

Smith later won an Oscar for starring in his performance in “King Richard.”

He continued to resign from the Academy.
