Whether you’re looking to tighten your wallet or want to cut back on your streaming time, here’s how to cancel your Amazon Prime subscription …
How to cancel Amazon Prime
Canceling your Amazon Prime membership is easy, and you may also be eligible for a refund.
To cancel, go to the Your Prime membership listed under Your Account on the Amazon website.
Then select ‘Manage’, select ‘Update, Cancel and more’, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Paid members who have not placed an order using Amazon Prime are entitled to a full refund.
Those who have used only Amazon Prime delivery benefits and no one else may be eligible for a partial refund.
If you have used Prime Video, Music or Prime Gaming, you will not be eligible for a refund.
How to cancel Amazon Prime Video
If you cancel your Amazon Prime subscription, one of the perks you will lose is Amazon Prime video.
However, it is possible to have a standalone Amazon Prime Video subscription for £ 5.99 per month if you are sure this is the only perk you want from Prime.
To cancel this, go to Manage Your Prime Membership listed under Your Account.
From here, you can select Edit Membership and follow the on-screen instructions.
Without a subscription, you can still access a variety of Amazon Prime titles by renting and purchasing them through the Amazon website.
How to cancel Amazon Music
Unlike Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music can only be accessed by Amazon Prime customers, and the perk is lost when Amazon Prime membership is canceled.
Prime members can pay £ 7.99 per month for Amazon Music Unlimited, which among other things gives users access to more than 90 million songs in HD and millions of songs in Ultra HD.
Non-Prime users can also access this for £ 9.99 per month.
To cancel an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, go to your Amazon Music settings and then go to the Amazon Music Unlimited section.
Then select the cancellation option in your subscription renewal information and confirm the cancellation.
Those without a Prime or Unlimited subscription can enjoy Amazon Music Free, which contains ads.
