Raphael Minder rejoins the Financial Times as a Central Europe correspondent based in Warsaw.
He begins in June.
He comes from The New York Times, where he serves as Spain and Portugal correspondent. During his 12 years at the Times, he has covered a variety of topics, including the impact of the financial crisis on Spain and Portugal, social issues, sports and culture, and more.
He has previously worked for the Financial Times as a regional correspondent for Asia based in Hong Kong. There, he reported on macroeconomic and business issues across half a dozen countries.
He was also a correspondent at Bloomberg.
Minder holds a BA from the University of Oxford and a Knight-Bagehot Scholarship in Business Journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
