EXCLUSIVE: Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody on Friday released an internal document from the Department of Homeland Security, which she says contradicts DHS Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas’ testimony to Parliament’s legislators on the ongoing border crisis.
Ohio Republican Representative Jim Jordan asked Mayorca on Thursday if he thought, “that maybe, just maybe, are your actions and policies encouraging migrants to get to the border?”
“I do not,” replied Mayorkas.

The DHS document, which Moody exclusively shared with Fox News Digital, cited “Perceptions of favorable U.S. immigration policies” as one of the reasons migrants have allowed to storm to the border.
Other reasons included the pursuit of financial and educational opportunities. The document appears to be from the beginning of 2021.
“It is two months since I called on Minister Mayorkas to step down in the face of his blatant neglect of the border crisis and his indifference to American security,” Moody told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“Secretary Mayorkas’ misrepresentations to Congress are out of the question, however. Congress’s leadership across the political spectrum should be shaken and take swift action. Florida will continue to lead the fight against President Biden’s ruthless immigration policy,” Florida’s Attorney General added.
DHS did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
Border crossings have risen to historic levels during Biden’s tenure in office. The border crisis is only expected to intensify due to President Biden’s announced end to Title 42.
Mayorka’s claimed on Wednesday that the Biden administration had “effectively managed” the border crisis.

“We have inherited a broken and dismantled system that is already under pressure… only Congress can rectify this,” Mayorkas testified.
“Yet we have effectively dealt with an unprecedented number of non-nationals seeking to enter the United States.”
