Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – You may have heard of an herbal drink in the past that helps treat some of your health problems. But in reality, it’s often just rumors that people are moving on to each other.
One of these rumors revolves around the possibility of treating kidney stones by cooking parsley.
The Gulf Health Council explained through its official account on the “Instagram” website that kidney stones are accumulated waste of calcium or uric acid inside the kidney.
Over time, the stones become hard as stone.
Of course, the causes of kidney stones are many, including behavioral and pathological.
Behavioral causes are due to lack of drinking water and an excess of animal protein and sodium.
Kidney stones can also be pathological, caused by diseases such as arthritis and urinary tract infection.
The Gulf Health Council added through its official account on the “Instagram” website that it has not been scientifically proven that parsley has any effect on the treatment of kidney stones, and explained that drinking water and liquids help remove small stones from the urine.
