DUBAI, September 29 / WAM / The Dubai Future Foundation has announced the organization of the second session of the “Dubai Metaverse Forum” from 11-12 October 2023, following the prominent interest it witnessed from the technology and business community to learn about metaverse developments, and the wide local and global participation in sessions and events. The forum was organized by the Foundation under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, at the “Museum of the Future” and “Area 2071” .

The activities of the first session of the “Dubai Metaverse Forum” attracted more than 600 experts and specialists in the technology sectors from 50 countries around the world, who participated in more than 25 workshops and dialogue sessions, hosting more than 30 speakers and 40 local and international institutions and technology companies.

The forum also provided a unique experience for employees of government agencies to participate in its activities through metaverse technologies in a first-of-its-kind initiative, and the number of followers of the sessions electronically and through metaverse technologies reached more than 40,000 people.

The forum also witnessed the announcement of the organization of 15 initiatives and strategies in the field of metavirus, which were announced during the forum.

Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, confirmed that the “Dubai Metaverse Forum”, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Future Foundation, represented a new phase in Dubai’s march to test and develop to adopt new and promising technology and contribute to Dubai World’s position as a destination for metaverse innovations.”

He added: “The forum provided a global platform to review the most prominent future transformations in the metaverse world and allowed participants to share experiences and successful experiences in applying technological tools. He pointed out that the next session of the “Dubai Metaverse Forum” will review the most prominent achievements in the UAE and the world in the application of Metaverse applications to continue the process of designing the future of the financial, public and service sectors.

The announcement to organize the “Dubai Metaverse Forum” next year aims to support efforts to strengthen Dubai’s position as a destination for opportunities, ideas, start-ups and small, medium and global companies specialized in technology and the metaverse, and to consolidate its position as an open and attractive destination for investments, innovative ideas and promising projects in the sectors of the future economy.
