The NFL Draft started with a moment of silence too Dwayne Haskins Thursday night, just a few weeks later Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was killed after being hit on a Florida freeway.
Haskins, who would have turned 25 on Tuesday, was trying to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 on foot when he was hit by a dump truck around 6:37 a.m. on April 9, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
He was pronounced dead on the highway.

A 911 call made by Dwayne’s wife, Kalabrya Haskins, who was in Pittsburgh at the time, revealed that Haskins had apparently stopped on the side of the highway and was getting gas for his vehicle just before he was hit.
Haskins was in Florida training with the Steelers teammates at the time of his death.
