Dubai Customs handled 8.9 million bags during the first quarter

Dubai Customs handled 6.7 million passengers and about 8.9 million suitcases on 40,615 flights that arrived in the country through Dubai airports during the first quarter of this year.
Dubai Customs announced that it has taken all the preparations to facilitate the procedures for travelers coming to the UAE through Dubai International Airport during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, as well as those returning from the last ten days of Ramadan during Ramadan. Dubai Customs increased the number of customs inspectors at airports during that period to 822 customs inspectors around the clock, and 77 bags were assigned to check bags, divided into 58 machines for checking large bags and 19 machines for checking handbags.
