After today’s big news that the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, successfully bought the popular social media platform Twitter for a whopping $ 44 billion, many immediately wondered if the disgraced former president Donald Trump would return to the platform … and he gave only one answer. Shortly after the news of Twitter’s new owner was confirmed, Donald Trump made it very clear that he still has no plans to return.
@HuffPost reports, during an interview with FOX News after confirming that Elon Musk was officially the new owner of Twitter, Donald Trump assured his fan base that despite the new ownership, he will not return – and chose instead to use its own Truth Social platform, launched back in February. “I’m not going on Twitter, I want to stay on Truth,” he said before adding that he thinks Elon Musk is likely to “make improvements” to Twitter, stating that [Musk is] a “good man, but I will stay on the Truth.”
Trump did not finish his comments and also took the time to claim that his platform performs better than Twitter:
“We take millions of people in, and what we find out is that the response to Truth is much better than being on Twitter. Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we do everything we can. The bottom line is, no, I’m not going back to Twitter. We want freedom and justice and justice in our country, and the more we can have open, the better. I do not see that. [Musk’s Twitter] as a competition for what I do. ”
As we reported earlier today, after weeks of intense speculation, it was finally made official that Elon Musk would become the new owner of the company after buying it for $ 44 billion.
