Doctor Strange 2 reveals the first look at Patrick Stewart’s X-Men Hoverchair

In just a few days, Marvel Studios will be jumping back into the theatrical blockbuster game starring Sam Raimis Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness, which has already provoked an enthusiastic madness over the whole fandom. From a potentially villainous turn for Scarlet Witch to the MCU introduction to Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, this sequel has a chance to take the baton from Spider-Man: No Way Home and ran with it at super speed.

Already with one of the biggest lists of confirmed and rumored characters for any MCU movie ever, Doctor Strange 2 really lives up to its subtitle, Multiverse of madness, even before the film is released in its entirety. Much of this has to do with Stewart’s shocking role, as he repeats one of his most iconic characters – one he’s played for more than two decades.

So far, the biggest indication is that Stewart is involved Doctor Strange 2 was in the Super Bowl trailer where fans saw his backside and heard him say “We should tell him the truth.” Now, with just over a week left until MCU’s first film from 2022 hits theaters, the campaign again focuses on Stewart with new Professor X-centered images.

More teasing for MCU’s first X-Man

Almost no character in Doctor Strange 2 has seen more attention than Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, given that fans thought his time in the role was over after 2017’s Logan. Now, this image of his rocking chair is the closest thing to an affirmation possible yet that the mutant leader will cross the Multiverse and make his influence felt along with MCU’s most powerful magicians.

As has been the case with most of MCU’s Phase 4 projects, Stewart’s MCU introduction will even come with his comically-precise rocking chair for the first time in any of his appearances. This is only the latest character to receive this first-class treatment after Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Sam Wilson’s Captain America, which only seems right considering that Stewart helped break the mold in modern superhero movies of the 2000s. X men.

Now the biggest question is how big Stewart’s role in the MCU successor will be, especially as the Illuminati takes center stage in the Multiversal frenzy. Regardless of these answers, Stewart’s inclusion alone will make fans feel nostalgic as they look forward to what MCU can do in the future with so many characters available to the franchise.
