DNA research into brain cancer hopes to speed up the diagnosis

More than 200 brain tumor patients at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge must have sequenced their entire genetic code.

The Minderoo Precision Brain Tumor Program aims to speed up diagnosis and help tailor treatment to patients with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.

It is hoped that this may eventually lead to new targeted treatments that prolong survival.
