Before Nick Turturro became an Emmy Award-winning star in the television series “NYPD Blue” and starred in “The Longest Yard,” he was primarily a New York Yankees fan.

Turturro performed at the Parlor Games Celebrity Basketball Classic at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Saturday, giving Fox News Digital a glimpse of how his beloved Yankees will return to the World Series.

After winning Saturday night, the Yankees improved to 15-6 and had a 1-game lead over the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League East while driving in a winning streak of eight games.

“First you have to win a series in the playoffs. It’s about pitching. After pitching, they get a little timely punch and they are not dependent on just home run or nothing. Maybe then we can make a serious run for the World Series. It’s on time, “said the native Brooklyn, New York.

“We’ve been waiting a long time. But you know you have to do it in the off-season. They’ve come very short. We’ll see. They have a good bullpen, have a few improvements. (Anthony) Rizzo is a great addition. I am cautiously optimistic. “

The Yankees’ front office inability to reach a long-term contract extension with slugger Aaron Judge has worried fans about whether the outfielder will still be with the team for the winter.

But Turturro said he did not sound the alarm yet.

“I do not think he will go to another team. I’m a little worried, but they have to keep the referee. It’s good for him. It’s good for everyone. He’s a Yankee. He’s the Yankees’ face. Not only that, there are not many guys in baseball like Judge, “he said. “They both need each other. Let’s just hope in the end (judge stays), otherwise it would be a disaster, PR-wise.”

Turturro won his Emmy as James Martinez on “NYPD Blue” and made the audience laugh when he played Brucie alongside Adam Sandler’s Paul Crewe in “The Longest Yard.” But he gets even more followers through TikTok.

Turturro develops comic sketches with White Claw Gabe, and the actor has amassed more than 768,000 followers on TikTok.

He told Fox News Digital that he credits his son Nick Turturro III, whom he calls Nick Nick, and White Claw Gabe for the following.

“TikTok is my son Nick Nick. He’s like the brains behind it. Brucie is a great inspiration for TikToks. But now I have White Claw Gabe, another phenomenon on TikTok. We do a lot of sketches. He comes up. With some really silly stuff. It’s really fun, “said Turturro.

“Some of the things I like, he would be like ‘no, no, don’t do that’.” But overall, I’ve had fun with it because it’s a different world today. When I came up, they did not have social media. I’m just trying to play the game. “
