Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was not injured after being involved in a car crash Tuesday morning in Tennessee, his campaign told CNN.
Bryan Griffin, a spokesman for his 2024 presidential campaign, also said an unspecified number of employees were in the vehicle.
“This morning, the governor was involved in a car accident while traveling to an event in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He and his team are unharmed. We appreciate the nation’s prayers and well wishes for his continued protection while on the campaign trail,” Griffin said in a statement.
Other details about the accident were not immediately available.
The Republican candidate had fundraisers planned in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Nashville area on Tuesday.
